NimbyCheck › Disclaimer
Read this before relying on anything here
NimbyCheck is an information tool built from public records. It is not an inspection, an environmental assessment, legal, medical or financial advice, or a statement about any specific property.
- A record near an address is a reason to ask questions. It does not establish exposure, contamination, surveillance coverage, health risk or property value at that address.
- Sources carry different dates and are not verified in the field. Records can be outdated, mislocated or incomplete, and absence of a record is not proof of absence.
- Community-mapped data (OpenStreetMap) is contributed by volunteers and unverified. Agency surveillance records describe documented technology use, not device locations or current operation.
- Flood zones are queried for the map point and an approximate tax parcel when available, not a surveyed building or elevation. Water service boundaries are estimates. PFAS and violation data describe sampled or reported system conditions, not water at a tap.
- Guidance text summarizes public agency material as of the review date shown on each page; regulations and thresholds change.
- For any consequential decision, consult the original records linked on each page and qualified professionals: environmental consultants, inspectors, attorneys, the water supplier and the relevant agencies.
